Highlights:
The 2020 Boys team started their journey as the Squires in 6th grade and were originally coached by Jeff Ota and Jessica Kunisaki. When Coach Jess began coaching for Sac State, Ben Nguyen began coaching alongside Coach Jeff.
Playing in thirty tournaments (8th grade - 11th grade), they were known for making the championship game in many tournaments, but also having the lowest scoring outputs. Their team played for Championship 26-times and took the “Ship” 18-times. In the summer of 2019, they played in Hawaii at the Ikaika Tournament and went 5-0. Coach Jeff Ota started the traditional “huddle” after every Sunday game during their undefeated 9th grade season going 8 for 8. Unfortunately, their 2020 Senior year did not happen because of the COVID Pandemic.
